Job Description
Are you a results-driven Civil Engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is driven by the pursuit of technical and professional excellence?
Do you have the discipline, grit, and commitment it takes to lead complex construction and civil engineering projects — from concept to completion?
We are seeking a career-orientated and exceptional achiever – someone who doesn’t settle for average and is prepared to do whatever it takes to excel in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in planning and overseeing civil works, including earthworks, concrete structures, roads, stormwater, sewer, and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure that engineering designs comply with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Identify and solve technical site issues proactively.
- Contract & Compliance Management
- Assist in managing contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JBCC) and ensure compliance with all engineering codes and legislation.
- Support in resolving contractual disputes and implementing corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Clients, Consultants, and Authorities to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Lead engineering input during tendering and procurement processes where required.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track progress against the construction program and identify risks or delays early.
- Compile technical reports, method statements, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all works are carried out within the allocated budgets and timelines.
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering (ECSA registration is an advantage)
- 3–7 years’ hands-on experience in civil engineering construction (roads, earthworks, services, or structural concrete)
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, and related engineering tools
- Experience working on design & build or fast-track projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and engineering standards
- Excellent site management and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites
- Driven by performance, not titles
- A critical thinker who doesn’t back down from a challenge
- Able to take ownership and deliver under pressure
- Obsessed with quality, safety, and deadlines
- A natural leader and collaborator, not just a follower
- Committed to continuous learning and professional growth
