Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for armored vehicles, including hulls, suspension, drivetrain integration, and add-on armor systems.
- Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings using [SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo or preferred software].
- Perform structural and thermal analysis to ensure design integrity under combat conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Contribute to design reviews and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in defense, automotive, or heavy vehicle industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
- Experience with FEA and simulation tools is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of ballistic protection, blast mitigation, and vehicle integration systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in armored vehicles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
