About the Role
Our client operates within the healthcare sector and is known for its operational excellence and structured finance environment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full accounting function while managing key finance staff and ensuring strong internal controls. You will form part of a well-established operation where financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting discipline are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accounting function up to trial balance
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- VAT, statutory submissions and compliance
- Managing and overseeing the bookkeeper, debtors and creditors clerks
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger control
- Financial reporting and variance analysis
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Requirements
- Education: BCom Accounting (minimum requirement)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years commercial accounting experience
- Proven experience managing a bookkeeper, debtors and creditors function
- Strong general ledger and reporting experience
- Skills: Strong Excel proficiency ERP system experience
