Job Description

Prepare and Examine statements and ensure they are accurate. Reporting, treasury, costing, tax computations, leading a team, CAPEX, budgeting and budgetary, strategic planning Ensure that statements and records comply with the law and regulations. Compute Tax owed, prepare tax returns and ensure prompt payment. Ensure that accounting systems are kept up to date. Organize and maintain financial records. Improve business efficiency where money is concerned. Make best-practices recommendations to management. Suggest ways to reduce costs and improve profits. Provide-assistance in respect of External and Internal Audits. Day to Day Accounting transactions. Analyse cash outflow projection and review daily cash status and cash flow projection together with the assistant accountant/cashbook clerk. Review and Post daily payment batches. Prepare Monthly Journals. Month-end closing and providing breweries and plant with information for their accounting. Preparation, analysis and presentation of Head Office MIS. Assistance with the preparation of the Consolidated MIS. Reconciliation, Submission and File of Monthly VAT. Reconciliation of Inter-Company Accounts. Processing of Assets for Book and Tax accounting. Create monthly depreciation charge. Reconcile Assets Register to General Ledger. Collating of Tax Information for the preparation of CIT. Experience and Qualifications: Matric with Maths and Accounting CA (SA) required Good working knowledge of the SAP system Must have excellent communication and superior interpersonal skills 3 -5 years experience in a similar within the FMCG sector. Must have managed a finance team. Must be able to work accurately under pressure and meet set deadlines High conceptual skills, innovative, statistical, analytical, and an enquiring mind Methodical problem-solving ability Demonstrable high organising ability, good negotiation skills and bias for action Effective judgment and demonstrated ability to take initiative when required Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule, and produce accurate results Systematic, hands on and innovative approaches to all facets of his/her work Salary – R900 000pa CTC
