About the Role
Our client is a technology-focused organisation building next-generation, scalable, and distributed systems. They are currently seeking a Senior C# API Developer to join their team on-site in Pretoria. This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with a Software Architect to design and build efficient, high-performance APIs and distributed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core
- Work in a focused team of API and Front-End developers on distributed systems
- Collaborate closely with the Software Architect to translate technical specifications into optimal implementations
- Apply clean architecture, SOLID principles, and best practices to ensure code quality and scalability
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, refinement, and prioritisation
- Mentor developers and actively share best practices
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong focus on building RESTful APIs using C#
- Technical Skills:
- C# and .NET Core (expert level)
- Clean Architecture & SOLID principles
- Entity Framework
- GitHub & feature-based branching
- Unit and end-to-end testing
