Pretoria: Senior Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Manager

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and implement E&I strategies aligned with project and business objectives. Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives. Evaluate and select technologies for control systems and electrical infrastructure. Engineering & Project Execution Oversee E&I design, budgeting, documentation, and implementation. Ensure compliance with SANS, IEC, OSHA, and ISO standards. Approve technical documentation for design and commissioning phases. Automation & Control Systems Manage integration of PLC, SCADA, HMI systems and industrial networks. Lead implementation of platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB, and others. Project & Resource Management Direct multi-disciplinary teams and ensure timely project delivery. Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation effectively. Compliance & Risk Management Enforce adherence to regulatory standards and safety requirements. Implement performance improvement through RCA, FMEA, and predictive maintenance. Team Development & Client Engagement Mentor engineers and technicians. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Provide technical input for proposals and sales support. Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile): GCC (Factories or Mines) Highly advantageous. ECSA Professional Registration Preferred. MBA or Management Development Program Advantageous. 1015 years experience in E&I engineering within mining or heavy industry. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with project execution responsibilities. Expertise in LV/MV power distribution, PLC/SCADA/VSD integration, and industrial networks. Knowledge of automation platforms (Siemens PCS7, Rockwell, ABB 800xA). Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and CMMS systems.
