About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Primavera Project Planner to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. As a key member of our project consulting environment, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project schedules, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project schedule using Primavera P6
  • Plan and set up project schedule with stakeholder input
  • Follow project planning processes and company procedures on all assigned projects
  • Ensure consistency and reliable progress reporting
  • Highlight any deviation within the programme to the Project Manager, and assist with innovative and appropriate planning advice
  • Implement planning logic, understanding inter dependencies and knock-on effects
  • Track baseline vs actual progress on schedules
  • Highlight risks to ensure project completion on time – raise early warnings with possible impacts to project schedule
  • Weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reports
  • Assist subcontractors, align, and integrate project schedules and progress reports

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of Primavera P6 experience in the mining and/or infrastructure industries
  • Experience in a similar role, planning of large construction and feasibility phase of projects
  • Sound understanding of installation projects in infrastructure construction / mining environments
  • Consulting experience highly recommended
  • Can-do attitude, with a passion for mega projects
  • Process orientated and assertive to ensure that complex projects are executed in accordance with company established practices and safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Related qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • 6-8 years of Primavera Planning experience in the mining and/or infrastructure industries

Salary & Benefits

Market-related – negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Renewable annual contracts on long term mega projects.
