Pretoria: Senior Primavera Project Planner

Duties & Responsibilities Working in the Project Consulting environment, manage and maintain project schedule by: Planning and setting up of project schedule with project stakeholders input using Primavera Following project planning processes and company procedure on all assigned projects Ensure consistency and reliable progress reporting Highlight any deviation within the programme to the Project Manager, and assist with innovative and appropriate planning advice Implement planning logic, understanding inter dependencies and knock-on effects Highlight critical path and resource loading issues Track baseline vs actual progress on schedules Highlight risks to ensure project completion on time – raise early warnings with possible impacts to project schedule Weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reporting Assist subcontractors, align, and integrate project schedules and progress reports The role/s require time on site either part of the week or full time based on the project phase Desired Experience & Qualification Related qualification 6-8 years Primavera Planning experience in the mining and/or infrastructure industries Experience in a similar role, planning of large construction and feasibility phase of projects Primavera P6 and MS Projects knowledge essential Sound Understanding of installation projects in infrastructure construction / mining environments Consulting experience highly recommended Driven Can-do attitude, with a passion for mega projects Process orientated and assertive to ensure that complex projects are executed in accordance with company established practices and safety requirements Able to work under pressure and to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the outputs Analytical thinker, energetic and flexible Must be fluent in English and have a good understanding of Afrikaans to communicate effectively in bilingual meetings. Willing to travel to project sites own transport and valid drivers license essential Must be medically fit to work on mining/construction sites Package & Remuneration Market related – negotiable depending on qualifications and experience Renewable annual contracts on long term mega projects Interested?
