Job purpose
Development of in-house software applications
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Gather user requirements
- Development of software
- Bug fixing and enhancement to software
Key Performance Areas
- Gather user requirements for new applications
- Consulting with colleagues and clients who will be using the application
- Set up a function design of the new application based on user requirements
- Draw up testing schedule for the new application
- Development of software
- Setting up of new servers
- Setting up and maintenance of testing systems
- Maintenance of virtual machines
- Design and development of customer user reports
Job specifications
- Minimum Qualifications, skills and abilities required for the job
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications NQF Level 4 and IT related diploma
- Must have written and verbal communication and report writing skills
- Strong web application and database design skills
- Stress and time management skills
- Decision making skills
- Analytical and problem saving
- 1 year experience in the specific working area
- Be proficient in MS Office programmes and Visual Studio
- MVC, SQL Server, C#, Entity Framework, JQuery, .Net 4.0,4.5
Abilities
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
- Willing to work long hours/ overtime due to job requirements
- Ability to work to a high standard
