About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our Pretoria-East team, responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions to international clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience leading teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the software engineering team
- Work in an Agile environment with other software, hardware, and test engineers
- Collaborate closely with international clients’ engineering and project divisions
- Oversee overall project planning and execution, including software development
- Lead high-level design and critical design workshops and conduct design reviews
- Develop ATPs (Assurance Technical Plans)
- Oversee ongoing software and subsystem testing
- Develop and integrate embedded digital communication software components
Requirements
- BEng (Electronic or Computer Engineering) degree
- Master’s degree in a related field will be beneficial
- 5-10 years of working experience in software engineering
- 2-5 years leading a software engineering team
- Comfortable acting as point of contact for international clients
