Pretoria: Shopfitting Estimator

Seeking Experienced Shopfitting Estimator – Pretoria East (Office-Based) Are you a meticulous Estimator with deep expertise in shopfitting projects —interiors, furniture, fixtures, and installations? We’re looking for someone just like you to lead our Bill of Materials cost-estimation efforts for high-end installation contracts. What You’ll Be Doing: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and competitive cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontractors specific to shopfitting works Collaborate with designers, engineers, procurement, and production teams to validate specifications and pricing Monitor supplier quotes, labour rates, and equipment costs to ensure accurate BOMs Regularly update BOMs to reflect design revisions, site changes, and supplier fluctuations Audit BOMs to detect errors or misalignments and propose corrections Provide timely, data-backed input to sales and operations on cost implications and value engineering Implement and refine efficient BOM processes, leveraging best practices in shopfitting cost control Generate concise reports on cost trends, variance analysis, and project forecasts What You Bring: 5 years as a shopfitting or interior-project Estimator, with strong BOM and take-off experience Deep knowledge of materials, joinery, fittings, and shopfitting workflows Proficiency in Excel for advanced data modelling and strong familiarity with BOM management/ERP tools Ability to read technical drawings and translate them into project cost breakdowns Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple BOMs and deadlines Experience with shopfitting estimation software or PLM tools Insight into value-engineering opportunities to optimize design costs without compromising quality At Omega, it’s about fit, not figures.
