Pretoria: Technical Sales Representative posted by First Degree Recruitment

We have a Technical Sales Representative vacancy with a vehicle and engineering service provider in the Rustenburg and surrounding areas up to Pretoria.

Duties:

• Register the company as a local supplier on vendor lists of mining and industrial clients in Rustenburg and surrounding areas up to Pretoria.
• Actively promote and sell services to new and existing customers.
• Represent the company as a local supplier of Diesel/Motor Engineering and Field Services.
• Support company products, divisions, and distributors to increase sales in the area.
• Service mining and construction sectors, focusing on diesel engines, motor engineering, and truck rebuilds.
• Report leads, tenders, and quoting opportunities to the Sales Manager.
• Submit weekly records of client meetings and maintain an updated customer database.
• Obtain and report information on competitor products, pricing, and business strategies.
• Prepare and submit weekly sales leads reports and related administrative tasks.
• Travel extensively within the Rustenburg/Pretoria region as required.

Requirements:

• Matric with English and Afrikaans proficiency (read, write, speak).
• Target-driven with a strong technical sales background in mining and construction.
• Recognised technical qualification (Diesel/Petrol Mechanic or Field Service) advantageous.
• 35 years experience in technical sales, preferably within mining or earthmoving equipment sectors.
• Computer literate (Windows, MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid SA drivers licence and own reliable transport.
• Established mining sales experience and relationships within the Rustenburg/Pretoria corridor.
• Resident in the Rustenburg or Pretoria area (or willing to relocate).
• Committed to building and maintaining client relationships, including afterhours networking when required.
• Clear criminal record.
