Sales Manager
Location: Queenstown
Type: Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and Organising Resources
- Ensure all equipment and machines are operational and safety certifications are up to date
- Plan and implement maintenance programs, work schedules, and parts/spares management
- Develop team policies, procedures, and visual management tools to track sales and targets
- Coach and guide sales trainees and team members
- Managing and Leading Staff
- Recruit, select, and onboard new employees
- Conduct performance assessments, training, and development for staff
- Manage individual and team objectives, resolve conflicts, and handle grievances
- Oversee compliance with quality management (QM) and occupational health & safety (OHS) standards
- Managing Store Finances and Stock
- Review financial reports, monitor budgets, and control expenditures
- Conduct risk assessments related to customer credit and in-store operations
- Order, audit, and manage stock, including tyres, accessories, and related items
- Sales and Business Development
- Implement in-store promotions, displays, and customer-focused initiatives
- Visit clients, provide product guidance, and identify new sales/service opportunities
- Conduct pre-inspections, verify product conditions, and “sell up” on specials
- Customer Relations
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Follow up on complaints and service feedback to ensure satisfaction
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and proactively
- Financial and Stock Analysis
- Generate, analyse, and action reports related to sales, stock, and debtors
- Control credit notes, process orders, quotations, and invoices
- Monitor invoicing cycles, stock movements, and customer-specific reports
