About the Role
Sakhona Tech is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team in Randburg. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing multiple tasks with little supervision and ensuring compliance with BEE regulations. If you are a self-driven and organized individual with a strong background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable: Preferred supplier list with BEE Considerations as well as look at any COD Suppliers with a view to applying for 30-day accounts. Ensure all statements are received monthly reconciled to invoices.
• Accounts Receivable: Assess Credit Limits on Customers
• BEE Reporting: Ensure all BEE Certificates are received and captured on BEE Smart Software. Check the Purchasing figures on the software and update
• Financial Reporting: Assist with Management Accounts and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
• Expense Management: Assist with putting together budgets for each department
• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Handle various accounting-related tasks and assist the team as needed, no matter the size or complexity of the task
Requirements
Age: 35 to 45 years
South African Citizen and valid ID
Own reliable car and valid (Code B) Driver’s license
BEE Compliance: Proven experience or understanding of BEE compliance and reporting is highly advantageous
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (e.g., BCom, Accounting Diploma, etc.)
