About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager/Coordinator to join our team in Randburg. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing training and support to our staff, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicles and tools. If you have excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide formal (classroom) and informal (on the job) training to staff
- Offer technical support on sites as needed
- Arrange training at suppliers’ locations as required
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of vehicles
- Liaise with office admin for servicing, vehicle faults, and tool procurement
- Inspect tools, toolboxes, hand, and power tools to ensure safe operation
- Ensure each vehicle/personnel has the required tools to perform duties safely and effectively
- Liaise with office admin to procure needed tools and equipment
- Maintain staff safety wear and equipment, ensuring appropriate dress
- Set out daily jobs and plan routes
- Ensure correct stock is issued to teams
- Liaise with office admin on client communication and team progress
- Track team progress and provide technical assistance as required
- Assist with client handovers where necessary
- Verify job cards are filled out correctly
- Ensure stock purchased for jobs aligns with job cards/quotes
Requirements
- Relevant technical experience (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of Valley Security products and services
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Qualifications
- Formal education in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering)
