Our company is seeking a well driven and well-educated Plant Engineer to join our team in Burgersfort, Limpopo.

Job Purpose:

The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation and improvement of plant equipment and systems in a chrome plant environment. They will need to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently, safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities:
– Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal plant performance
– Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of equipment
– Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
– Develop and implement improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and productivity
– Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
– Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:
– National Diploma/B.Eng Degree/BTech Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields
– GCC Mines and Works qualification
– Post Graduate Diploma (advantageous)
– 5-10 years of working experience in a chrome plant environment
– 2-5 years of Plant Engineering experience within the Plant Industry (Post GCC)
– Extensive knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance practices
– Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
– Excellent communication and leadership abilities
