Requirements:

Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as one of the following: Candidate Engineer Candidate Engineering Technologist Candidate Certificated Engineer Candidate Engineering Technician A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction projects, with proven project management capabilities. Experience in heavy current electrical systems or a strong interest in transitioning into this field. Proficient in MS Office package Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate project progress to senior engineers effectively. Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage project activities.

Responsibilities:

Monitor the progress of electrical engineering projects and provide regular updates to senior engineers. Inspect construction activities related to electrical installations to ensure compliance with design plans and industry standards. Evaluate site progress and quality of work, identifying any issues that need addressing. Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of heavy current electrical systems, providing feedback on execution. Support teams in transitioning into or enhancing expertise in heavy current applications. Ensure all technical documentation, drawings, and reports are accurate and up to date. Provide feedback and insights to project teams, helping them resolve challenges and stay on track.
