Job Summary
Qualifications and experience: Grade 12 Minimum 2 years experience as a Supervisor/Foreman in the automotive industry. Duties and responsibilities: Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labor allocation for day to day operations Co-ordinate resources, (operational and Human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs. Ensure supplies are ordered for each job Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing and quality checks. Ensure correct job numbers are used and that accurate records are kept Provide oversight and check job estimates Regularly report progress on each job to operations team and quickly communicate delays or concerns with management team. Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls. Act as a technical advisor on key projects and other areas of the business as requested. Work with the operations and management team when needed to respond to client requests for updates on the status of their jobs and to keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate. To perform very strict quality assurance and to check according to company policy and procedure every completed job before the vehicle is handed back to the client Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction Ensuring that there are absolutely no come backs Ensuring that the workshop is run in an efficient manner and that jobs are completed as per company standards To identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure that their skills are improved To identify and train an appropriately suited person as your “2/C” or second in charge to ensure continuality and availability of sufficient qualified management To ensure staff availability for day-to-day operations and standby staff for after hours unplanned operations To provide feedback to staff that are no performing to the expected level and ensure that HR is informed of trends in performance To promote a ZERO Hard health & safety culture within the business To ensure that discipline is effectively and consistently applied throughout the company and that all company policies and procedures are followed Ensuring that there is no stock loss or time theft Company asset management (repairs, service scheduling etc. Staff leave and timesheet planning. Salary between R10 000.00 and R30 000.00 p/m
