• Perform the full spectrum of mechanical work – from diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs to overhauls and rebuilds
• Conduct gearbox removal, stripping, repair, reassembly, and installation
• Carry out vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and road tests to ensure quality workmanship
• Maintain accurate job cards and service documentation
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and turnaround targets
• Ensure adherence to safety and workshop standards at all times
• Assist with technical problem-solving and provide support to fellow technicians
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace
• Communicate effectively with workshop management regarding progress and technical issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the motor industry as a Qualified Technician
• Motor Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (qualified artisan)
• Mechanical Diploma or Certificate (advantageous)
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Experience working with gearboxes, transmissions, and drivetrain systems (essential)
• Ability to perform diagnostics and fault-finding accurately
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 8 or higher)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Motor Industry experience Essential!!
