Our client is searching for a SAICA Trainee Accountant to join their team in Menlo Park. Job description: Benefits and requirements SAICA Trainee Accountant. Financial benefits: SAICA Trainee Accountant Starting salary: R16,000 per month, R192,000 per annum, if B degree is complete, negotiable if B degree not yet completed. iStudy bursary up to a maximum of R51,300 per calendar year for study purposes: Subject to performance terms and conditions. Candidates will be required to refund the bursary to the company should their training contract be terminated without running the full term of the training contract, subject to SAICA allowances for a reduction in the term of the training contract. Duties and responsibilities: Working under the guidance of experienced Chartered Accountants / SAIPA Professional Accountants / Registered Auditors. Hands-on working environment with active participation in all aspects of rendering services to clients. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns. Conducting audits and assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards. Participating in client meetings and liaising with clients on financial matters. Developing a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and auditing procedures. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality services to clients. Actively pursuing the completion of a SAICA-accredited bachelor`s degree if the degree is not yet completed. Duties and competencies as set out in the SAICA Training Regulations. All applicants must meet all the following requirements: Must be proficient in English – read, write and speak, and basic Afrikaans. Must agree to complete the SAICA training contract at the company, for the Trainee\ Accountant to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA).
