Sandton: Corporate Actions Specialist

Job Summary

Grade 12 or equivalent – Degree in Business and/or BComm advantageous – Knowledge of securities industry, including Corporate Actions relating to equities, bonds, money market, proxy voting warrants and debt instruments. Skills – Analytical and conceptual thinking – Logical reasoning – Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) – Documentations skills – Advanced Excel Skills – PERSPECTIVE OUTPUTS Provide a service and support in the business (Internal Process) – Perform operational duties that are related Corporate Actions – This includes Money Market, Proxy Voting Warrants and Debt Instruments. – Support in building foundations for improving business processes; – Assist in the analyse of new business requirements where required; e.g. ECASS Equities, Money Markets and Bonds – Analyse data, collate and summarise at various levels where needed. – Support and assist with the change requests to ensure requests are controlled and prioritised according to business objectives and requirements as per operational need. – Ensure standards and consistencies are applied across all business areas. – Directive development. – Operational contingency. – Answer and provide first time resolution and quality driven responses to all business requirements. – Research and report on industry and market best practice. Engage with clients in a client centric manner (Client Services) – Ongoing relationship building with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of Corporate Events. – Ability to develop new improved processes and to facilitate discussions with external stakeholders. – Delivering effective and consistent service and support to clients within specified service level agreements. – Committed to Customer Service. – Enable business communications between business areas. – Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
