Job Summary

To provide administrative support to the payroll function by ensuring that all payroll data, processes and associated administration and services are accurately delivered within the agreed deadlines. Qualification Matric Relevant HR Diploma Registration with relevant professional body (Will be an added advantage) Experience A minimum of 4 years’ experience in payroll administration in complex environments. Knowledge of SAP HR Module Knowledge of relevant legislation BCEA, LRA, Skills Development, Provident Fund Tax Act, COIDA etc. Payroll Processing • Reviews rosters, time sheets, wage and salary computation and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. • Processes paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system. • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records. • Generating reports for payments e.g., PAYE returns and other third parties • Maintain a proper document control system • Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration • Monitor leave management to ensure compliance with policy and procedures. • Analyse leave utilisation trends to identify risks and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare reports, letters, and documents relative to this role. • To liaise with and give appropriate information and advice to clients as and when required; via email/telephone etc. • To assist with the general administration of work within the payroll team Reporting, Payroll Systems Management and Maintenance • Compute wages and deductions and capture information on relevant systems • Record employee information, such as transfers and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records • To assist in the compilation of reports and records and assessment of data as may be required by the Supervisor • To assist in the compilation, maintenance and analysis of client personnel records • To assist in the compilation, maintenance and analysis of client payroll records • To use computerised systems e.g., SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook and databases, to input and manage data and produce required documentation Query Resolution • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retrospective increases • Capture and implement legal instructions against employees’ salaries to ensure compliance with the relevant legislations IDC/HO/HC Payroll Administrator • Respond to queries from employees in an accurate and timeous fashion. Job Summary

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payment of employee wages, taxes, and benefits. If you have a passion for payroll and a keen eye for detail, we`d love to hear from you. Main job function Responsible for Maintenance of Employees Master Data on CRS Payroll system Manage the monthly Payroll input processing. Ensure that correct posting of Payroll Entries to the General Ledger Ensure monthly reconciliation of Payroll deductions and earnings. Ensure that all inputs/changes to the payroll are accompanied by properly authorised documentation. Ensure auditing, testing, verifying and checking of changes are done on payroll inputs. Manage the accurate and timely payment of all 3rd party related reporting. Perform the Monthly Payroll Accounting Reconciliations Keep abreast/track of changes to legislation impacting on payroll and ensure the payroll is trained compliant to the changes. Prepare and submit all the monthly payroll returns e.g. PAYE, UIF, Garnishees, Skills Development Oversee the reconciliations and distribution process of IRP5s Deal with Adhoc payroll requests from other departments. Dealing with daily queries from staff Ensure filling of all Payroll Documents in line with Documents Retention Policy Update CRS system when there are new releases. Responsible for monthly cellphone recons and deductions Responsible for petrol recons and deductions Calculations of overtime and standby hours Monthly reporting such as employee listing, data source reporting, leave reporting, etc. Maintains records of regular deductions from employees payments such as deductions on Medical Aid,UIF, PAYE, etc. Coordinates efforts between the payroll department and other departments to ensure accurate employee data. Ensures maximum compliance with government regulations. Ensures the submission of payroll reports and sheets for timely processing of staff salary. Adhoc duties when required. Qualifications Matric Relevant Tertiary qualification would be an advantage. Minimum 3- 5 years in similar role Advanced CRS Payroll experience is essential. Knowledge and understanding of Tax submissions, generating IRP5s, Liasing with SARS etc. Computer Literacy skills-Word & Excel Good Accounting Skills Comprehensive Knowledge of Payroll and Administration Criteria High Degree of attention to detail, work proactively and accurately Ability to work with figures. Good administration and organisation skills Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to monitor outstanding items and ensure closure. Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organisation. Ability to take initiative. Ability to work proactively on their own. Ideally experience in running a payroll department Methodical work style Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and to respond appropriately to demanding clients. Customer Service orientated.
