Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a B. Sc. Agriculture degree in Agronomy or similar Minimum 5 years experience in agronomy or a related field Must have experience in seed production and breeding Strong knowledge of crop management, soil science, and pest and disease management is advantageous Experience in conducting field trials and agricultural research Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders Proficiency in data analysis and report writing Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel when required The successful candidate will be responsible for: Conducting field trials and research to evaluate the performance of various seed varieties. Providing technical support and guidance to farmers on best practices for crop management. Analyzing soil, water, and plant tissue samples to make informed recommendations. Developing and implementing strategies to improve crop yield, quality, and sustainability. Monitoring and reporting on crop health, pest and disease management, and environmental impact. Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to promote seed products and services. Staying updated with the latest agricultural trends, technologies, and research findings.
