Key Responsibilities: Manage retail staff, among which includes people working on the floor, and the cashiers during assigned shifts Meet financial goals by analysing variances; initiating corrective actions in preparing an annual budget; formulating pricing policies and scheduling expenditures Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge. Make sure pricing is correct Work on store displays Evaluate self-on-the-job performance, as well as other staff Identify market trends that appeal to customers Ensure products are clean and ready to be displayed Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock are on the shelf Ensure promotions are accurate and in tune with companys standards Make sure that health and safety measures are met Monitor local competitors Ensure that hours of operation are following local laws Maintain health and safety measures and stores cleanliness Organize and distribute staff schedule Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store to uphold hygiene and safety standards. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the implementation of promotional activities and marketing initiatives to drive sales and meet targets. Attend stock take as and when required Ensure that security is maintained at times, locking and opening premises and activating all alarms systems Ensure that all keys, safes and other essential aspects of the business are locked and always secured. Attend to daily cash reconciliations and ensure accuracy Collaborate with other shift managers and store management to achieve overall business objectives. Report directly to the General Manager/Operations from time to time and with a dotted line of accountability to the administration manager.
