? Summary:
A prestigious Big 5 lodge within a luxury lodge portfolio, is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Head Guide to support the Head Guide in managing and elevating the safari experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified, passionate, and experienced guide ready to step into a senior role with leadership responsibilities.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct professional and engaging guided game drives and bush walks

• Assist in the leadership, mentoring, and coordination of the guiding team

• Support in ensuring the highest standards of guiding, safety, and guest experience

• Assist with guiding schedules, game drive allocations, and vehicle management

• Support in gear and weapon maintenance and compliance

• Deliver interpretive and conservation-focused guiding experiences to a discerning international clientele

Minimum Requirements:

• FGASA NQF Level 4 – essential

• Lead Trails Guide qualification (essential)

• Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) & SAPS Competency

• Valid CATHSSETA & DEAT registrations

• Valid PDP and Drivers Licence

• Current First Aid Certification

• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills

• Passion for wildlife, conservation, and creating unforgettable guest moments

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury guiding role within a Big 5 reserve

? Couples Welcome:
Open to considering couples if one partner has a suitable skillset (e.g. FOH, admin, spa, etc.)

? Package Offered:

• Salary: R13,000 R15,000 (Depending on Experience)

• Live-in Accommodation Provided

• Uniform Provided
