Minimum Qualifications At least 12 years experience in a similar position (board cutting or timber yard). Knowledge of board types, timber products, and hardware materials. Ability to read measurements accurately and use measuring tools. Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of saw operation. Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/build materials and stand for extended periods Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength Key Responsibilities: Receive and interpret customer cutting instructions accurately. Measure, mark, and cut boards, chipboard, MDF, and timber to specified sizes. Operate and maintain cutting machinery safely and efficiently. Ensure all cuts are precise and meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Assist customers with loading and handling of cut materials. Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on cutting equipment. Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Report any damaged stock, faulty machinery, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
