Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Meyerton. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow their career in finance while gaining experience in a busy and dynamic environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Capture daily financial transactions on Xero (invoices, receipts, payments).
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end processing.
- Assist with wages and payroll processing on Zoho, including payslips, overtime, and leave records.
- Prepare and send client invoices; follow up on outstanding payments under supervision.
- Capture supplier invoices and assist with payment processing.
- Maintain accurate filing and financial records.
- Prepare simple Excel reports and spreadsheets (expenses, petty cash, supplier lists).
- Assist with recording project-related costs (fuel, consumables, site expenses).
- Provide admin support to the finance team and assist with client/supplier queries.
- Run errands such as bank visits and supplier drop-offs when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years bookkeeping/finance experience (entry-level acceptable).
- Must be proficient in Xero, Zoho, and Microsoft Excel (non-negotiable).
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Must have own reliable transport and a valid drivers license.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
Remuneration Package:
R 12K 14K
