South Africa: Business Development / Sales Executive – Remote

Job Description

Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Growth Reconcile processed invoices and credit notes, verifying entries and comparing system reports to supplier statements Clarify any questionable invoice items, pricing, or receiving signatures Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly Monitor discounts and address pricing discrepancies with the pricing team Allocate rebate and marketing invoices correctly according to instructions Follow up on unidentified credit notes, obtaining necessary details for clarification Process adjustments accurately as per instructions from the Group Financial Manager or Financial Manager: Pricing and rebates Prepare comprehensive supplier payment reconciliations Process electronic transfers and payments accurately and on time Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any outstanding queries Provide supporting documentation for audits as required Ensure meeting all deadlines as determined by management Correspond with suppliers and respond to queries promptly and professionally Maintain Supplier Master File information accurately and efficiently Business Development Research and identify high-value segments and potential corporate clients Develop tailored pitches for financial professionals, decision-makers, and investment communities Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and subscribers Attend virtual and in-person industry events (if applicable) to generate leads Client Engagement & Service Understand client needs and position the newsletter as a high-value resource for insights, trends, and analysis Provide timely responses to queries, support requests, and renewal discussions Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the subscription journey Reporting & Administration Track and manage sales activity using CRM tools Produce weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts Communicate market trends, competitor insights, and client feedback to internal team Requirements: Proven experience in B2B or B2C sales Keen interest in global markets, investing, or financial trends Excellent communication and presentation skills Professionalism and credibility in financial discussions Ability to build rapport with senior-level stakeholders Persuasive communication Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets Strategic prospecting Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems Negotiation and closing skills Analytical thinking Strong time management Due to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
