Job Description
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cost Estimator within a SMPP EPC Company
Interpretation and administration of estimates.
Estimation experience in related field.
Interpretation and understanding of technical specifications (Equipment, Materials, International standards)
Good understanding of the engineering and manufacturing industry
Good business acumen (i.e., numeracy skills, generation of profit and loss, margin)
Review client scope, technical and specification documentation.
Consults with clients and suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates. Effect cost reduction, clarify technical specification and resolve issues.
Generate cost registers and proposals/quotes according to company standards.
Planning – ensure proposals are submitted timeously.
Arrange cost review meetings.
Engineering and decision making.
Keep the estimation database current.
Save all relevant estimation documents/files in correct folders.
Generate handover tracking register and documentation on purchase order receive.
Support Contracts Manager with new concept designs for plant optimization and standardization.
Achieve tender/proposal to purchase order conversion rate without compromising project quality or profitability.
Price accuracy.
Project lead time accuracy.
Technical offer accuracy.
