- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Dog Handler.
- Valid Dog Handler Qualification.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and K-9 procedures.
- Ability to work professionally and as part of a team.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of animal welfare.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the care, grooming and well-being of the assigned dogs, including daily feeding, bathing, and medical checks.
- Conduct regular patrols within designated zones to safeguard property and personnel.
- Inspect issued equipment and maintain its cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain and clean kennels daily, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with the Kennel Master to report on the dog’s health, performance and any incidents.
- Adhere to safety, security and environmental protocols in all operations.
- Prevent and report any signs of animal cruelty immediately.
- Document and report all incidents, including bites, for review by management.
- Safely transport dogs using appropriate equipment.
