This role is perfect for someone who thrives in both technical and leadership capacities, with a solid background in electrical installations and a sharp eye for energy savings. The successful candidate will take ownership of installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, while also conducting in-depth energy audits. With a strong understanding of metering, Solar PV systems, and compliance standards, the ideal candidate will play a key role in driving energy efficiency and supporting business development in the ESCO space. Key Skills & Competencies: Proven expertise in efficiency and meter audits Experience with installation and programming of meters Strong understanding of smart meters, lighting control systems, Solar PV, battery and inverter systems Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams Solid grasp of energy-saving principles and electricity metering technologies Exceptional problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills Confident in managing staff and subcontractors Fully proficient with test meters, hand/power tools, and Microsoft Office Knowledge of relevant standards including SANS 10142, SANS 10114-1, SANS 10389-1, and SANS 10098-1 Education & Experience: Wiremans license and registration with the Department of Labour Mandatory At least 10 years“ experience in electrical installations and/or energy efficiency projects Mandatory Degree in Electrical Engineering ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or candidate Valid drivers licence required PV Green Card and CEM or CEA certification Advantageous but not essential General
