This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, guest-focused couple who work well as a team and are available to start ASAP . The lodge is looking for energetic, motivated individuals who are passionate about hospitality, wildlife, and delivering memorable safari experiences in a close-knit lodge environment. Field Guide – Key Responsibilities • Conduct guided game drives for lodge guests • Host and interact with guests during activities and selected meals • Ensure guest safety, comfort, and enjoyment at all times • Assist with general lodge maintenance and vehicle care • Uphold guiding standards, conservation ethics, and reserve regulations • Support lodge operations where required Minimum Requirements (Field Guide): • FGASA NQF Level 2 minimum • Valid PrDP • Valid First Aid Certificate • NDT Registered • Passionate, energetic, and guest-focused guiding style Must have relevant luxury lodge based guiding experience (Big 5 environment), at least 2 years. Assistant Lodge Manager – Key Responsibilities • Support the Lodge Manager with day-to-day lodge operations • Guest hosting, check-ins, service flow, and service recovery • Oversee housekeeping standards, room readiness, and public areas • Assist with staff supervision, daily task allocation, and training • Support admin duties including guest records, stock control, and reporting • Ensure smooth communication between departments (guiding, kitchen, housekeeping) • Maintain lodge presentation and service standards Minimum Requirements (Assistant Lodge Manager): • Previous relevant luxury lodge experience essential • Strong organisational, communication, and guest relations skills • Hands-on, solutions-driven approach • Ability to multitask in a small team environment • Professional, calm, and guest-centric Package & Benefits (Combined): • Combined salary: R20,000 – R25,000 (Negotiable, DOE) • Live-in accommodation • Meals included – Lodge stocks food weekly for staff self-catering when off duty – Chefs prepare meals while staff are on duty • Provident Fund contributions • UIF contributions • Daily and monthly gratuities Ideal Couple Profile: • Strong work ethic and positive attitude • Comfortable working in a remote bush environment • Team players who support each other operationally • Unfortunately, no dependants or pets due to lodge & reserve requirements To Apply: Please submit: • CVs for both candidates • Copies of guiding qualifications and certificates • Contactable references • Recent head and shoulders photographs Please Note: If you do not receive feedback within 7 working days, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
