What We Are Looking For We are searching for someone who brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine love for people. The ideal Host will have: A valid South African ID or work permit A Matric certificate (Grade 12) At least 2 years recent experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant as a host A welcoming personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confidence in handling enquiries and reservations while keeping things running smoothly A professional appearance, reliability and punctuality Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays A team spirit and a passion for making every guest feel truly special What You Will Do Welcome and seat guests with warmth and confidence, ensuring smooth table rotation Manage reservations and coordinate seating plans to keep service flowing Provide menus, introduce specials and support the waitron team where needed Handle guest queries, requests and feedback with care and professionalism Maintain a polished host stand and uphold presentation standards in the dining area Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and hotel service standards On Offer Competitive market related salary Company contribution toward medical aid and pension fund Staff meals on duty Uniform provided Training and development opportunities within a growing hotel Discounts on dining, accommodation and selected hotel facilities A supportive and passionate team culture The chance to grow within one of Cape Towns most loved hotels Why The President Here, hospitality is more than service, it is about connection.
