About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our client’s specialist tax department in Century City, Cape Town. As an Assistant Tax Administrator, you will support the team in preparing, collating, and submitting various tax returns for individuals and companies. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior professional to gain hands-on experience in a structured, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, collation, and submission of various tax returns (e.g., Provisional Tax, Income Tax, VAT, PAYE) for individuals and companies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client tax files, ensuring all required documentation is collected and organized efficiently.
- Assist in managing routine correspondence with SARS, including checking tax directives, handling assessment queries, and tracking submission deadlines.
- Accurately capture financial and tax data into specialized tax software and internal systems.
- Facilitate basic communication with clients to request outstanding documents and confirm submission details.
- Assist the senior team in compiling documentation and supporting schedules required for tax audits and reviews.
Requirements
- Education: Relevant qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) in Accounting, Finance, or Tax.
- Experience: Some administrative experience, preferably gained within an Audit or Accounting firm environment, is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to tax or accounting software (e.g., eFiling, EasyFile) is a plus.

- Relevant qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) in Accounting, Finance, or Tax.
