Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our holding company’s finance team. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for managing financial information across multiple businesses, contributing to key decision-making, and playing an active role in strengthening our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records for the holding company.
Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with group intercompany transactions and cash management.
Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting standards.
Review financial information and enhance its value to stakeholders.
Analyse results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and statutory reporting.

Requirements

3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
Experience across multiple entities or group structures is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS).
Sage experience (advantageous).
Strong understanding of financial information flows.
Comfortable with digital tools and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

BCom Accounting or equivalent (including core accounting and basic IFRS).
