Head Guide Luxury Forest Reserve | Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Head Guide for a luxury forest reserve near Grahamstown. This live-in role offers the opportunity to lead a guiding team and deliver exceptional 5-star guest experiences in a remote lodge environment. Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Guide or Senior Field Guide in a luxury lodge or hospitality environment Exceptional knowledge of local flora, fauna, ecology, and wildlife Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills Excellent guest service, interpersonal, and communication abilities Ability to work in remote locations and meet the physical demands of guiding Live-in required, with medical benefits included Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the guiding team, providing mentorship, support, and training Deliver personalised and professional guided nature experiences Ensure all guiding activities adhere to safety protocols and operational standards Maintain effective communication with lodge management regarding guest needs and team performance Schedule and coordinate guiding activities for smooth operations and high guest satisfaction Foster a team culture focused on excellence and 5-star service delivery Monitor and maintain guiding equipment and vehicles to lodge standards Provide input into guest experience planning, including itineraries and personalised activities Package: Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience Accommodation: Live-in provided with medical benefits Working schedule: 11 days on / 3 days off roster To apply for the Head Guide position, please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates meeting the listed requirements will be contacted.
