Minimum Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Hotel school qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Hotel Receptionist within a busy hotel environment
  • Previous experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel preferred
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and well-spoken manner
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Strong administrative and multitasking abilities
  • Computer literate with hotel system experience
  • OPERA PMS experience will secure
  • South African ID

Guest Service & Front Desk Operations

  • Welcome guests professionally and create a positive first impression
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently
  • Handle guest queries, requests and complaints professionally
  • Ensure smooth daily front office operations during busy periods

Reservations & Administration

  • Assist with reservations, amendments and room allocations
  • Maintain accurate guest information and billing details
  • Process payments and daily reception administration
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping and other departments

Operational Standards

  • Maintain professional front office presentation and service standards
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the guest journey
  • Follow hotel procedures and operational requirements accurately
  • Support the Front Office team in delivering excellent guest experiences
