Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, organised, and guest-focused Front Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy 349-room front desk. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership ability in managing large teams within a high-volume luxury hotel, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service at every touchpoint.
Experience & Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ front office experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, with at least 2–3 years in a management role

Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management advantageous

Strong knowledge of front office operations, reservations, and guest service standards

Proficiency in Opera PMS (essential) and Microsoft Office

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading large front office teams

Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment while maintaining service standards

Strong financial and administrative skills, including forecasting, rostering, and budgeting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays

South African citizen with a valid ID
Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the front office, ensuring smooth service delivery across a 349-room property

Lead, train, and motivate the reception, concierge, and guest relations teams to achieve service excellence

Manage guest arrivals, departures, reservations, and billing with accuracy and professionalism

Handle VIP arrivals, guest complaints, and service recovery with discretion and care

Conduct daily briefings, allocate duties, and monitor staff performance

Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, and brand standards at all times

Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

Manage departmental budgets, payroll, and financial reporting in line with hotel targets

Drive guest satisfaction scores by continuously improving service standards and operational efficiency

Represent senior management in their absence and maintain professional standards at all times
