Job Summary
Our client in Dubai is looking for a skilled Health, Safety and Environment Engineer who is ready to relocate to the Middle East and join their team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) or similar health and safety qualifications
- Additional certifications in environmental management (e.g., ISO 14001) or occupational health and safety can be advantageous.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environmental roles within construction, engineering, or industrial settings
- Knowledge of local and international safety regulations, environmental legislation, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety and environmental risks.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of safety practices and environmental responsibilities among staff.
- Site Inspections: Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance for management and regulatory bodies. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and inspections.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Recommend changes to improve health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with management, employees, and external stakeholders regarding HSE issues and initiatives.
