About the Role
Our client, a proudly ICASA-licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, is looking for a dedicated IT Technician to join their innovative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and software applications
- Conduct regular audits, updates and patch management to ensure optimal system performance
- Set up and manage networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations
- Provide prompt end-user support remotely or on-site, documenting solutions for future reference
- Implement firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection and backup / recovery protocols to protect data integrity
Requirements
- Microsoft Accreditation and Certification
- Solid knowledge and experience in Microsoft Suite, 365, Apps for Business, Azure
- Proven experience as an ICT / IT Technician or in a similar technical role
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- In-depth understanding of computer systems, networks and security principles
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advantageous)
- Relevant certifications: CompTIA A, MCITP, CCNA (advantageous)
