Job Summary
Employer Description Our client is a leading food manufacturer Job Description My client prides themselves on creating high-quality, food products. They are looking for a gem of a candidate who is able to work with Food Safety, QA and Procurement. Quality Assurance and Food Safety : Implement and maintain the Food Safety Management System Conduct validation of Operational Prerequisite Programs, Critical Control Points, allergen management, and cleaning programs. Coordinate and lead audits (internal, external, and customer), investigate food safety complaints, and drive effective corrective/preventive actions. Deliver and manage food safety training programs, ensuring staff are up to date and proficient. Procurement: Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships. Source high-quality products at optimal prices while maintaining consistent supply to meet production needs. Negotiate prices with suppliers to maximise value for the organisation. Qualifications BTech or BSc in Food Science or related field. 2-5 years of experience in procurement and food safety IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY. Advanced HACCP certification. Skills Analytical, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong internal and external communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Growth mindset, adaptable, and resourceful. Highly organised, logical, and systematic. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
