Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering growth within the team.
- System & Database Design: Architect and design scalable, robust systems and databases to meet project and business requirements.
- Development: Hands-on coding and code review, primarily in Node.js, Nest.js, and TypeScript, with high standards for clean, maintainable code.
- AWS Management: Manage and optimize AWS resources for cost, performance, and security; familiarity with services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and IAM.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Product, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
- Project Planning: Assist in project planning and estimations, taking ownership of end-to-end deliverables.
- Best Practices: Promote agile methodologies, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Requirements:
- Experience: 6+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js, Nest.js, and TypeScript.
- AWS Expertise: Proficient in AWS services, with experience in system deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- System Design Skills: Strong understanding of system and database design principles, with hands-on experience in creating scalable architectures.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading a development team, mentoring junior engineers, and managing project timelines.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and solutions.
- Soft Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across teams and with stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
- Microservices Architecture: Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
