About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting for a luxury lodge in the Sabi Sands that is seeking an experienced Lodge Anchor to oversee guest services and hosting during a maternity cover period. This role is ideal for a confident hospitality professional who excels in guest interaction and has a strong food and beverage background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary guest services manager within the lodge
  • Hosting guests and ensuring their stay meets and exceeds expectations
  • Assisting with restaurant and bar stock control
  • Overseeing restaurant staff with regard to management, training, and service standards
  • Filling in for the Assistant Lodge Manager during cycle leave as required

Requirements

  • Friendly, professional personality with strong hosting and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience hosting international guests within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Passion for the natural environment and sustainability
  • Strong food and beverage or guest services background, with both being advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage, particularly wine, cigars, and cheese
  • South African citizenship advantageous; a valid work permit is essential
