About the Role
We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to coordinate daily warehouse activities in our KwaZulu-Natal division. You will be involved in stock control, verification and preservation, Security Control and Risk Management, and driving continual improvement. The ideal candidate will have completed Matric/Grade 12 with relevant experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities (receiving, picking, packing and dispatch)
- Ensure correct stock receiving and binning of goods
- Coordinate returns, damaged goods and discrepancies
- Stock management of the inventory system and the physical inventory within the KZN warehouse
- Control of all security systems and risk management of the facility and stock
- Plan and schedule driver deliveries
- Manage and maintain company delivery vehicles
- Document control
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety regulations
- Ensure compliance to the OHS Act and Policy by understanding individual responsibility
- Promote awareness amongst co-workers and add value through reporting of incident/hazards or suggestions for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Matric \ Grade 12 (Compulsory)
- Supply Chain Management Qualification will be advantageous
- 2-3 Years experience in a similar role
- Reading, writing and communication (English)
- MS Office Outlook and Excel
- SHEQ – ISO9001/14001/45001 proficient
- Sage X3 experience will be advantageous
- Demonstrable time management skills, good people management, leadership and organisational skills
- Experience in driving a continual improvement
- Daily communications with senior management
- Ability to resolve queries
- Valid Driver License and own reliable vehicle
