About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our prestigious luxury safari lodge located in the Kruger National Park. As a hands-on, organised professional with strong technical expertise and leadership abilities, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance operations of the lodge, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall maintenance operations of the lodge
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and training where required
- Liaise with lodge management to prioritise tasks and support operational needs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
- Manage stock, budgets, and procurement for the maintenance department
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within hospitality or lodge environments. Strong technical knowledge in areas such as plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Benefits: Live-in position, phone allowance of R750, 50% contribution to medical aid
