Johannesburg: Senior Business Analyst

Job Description

They’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Head Office team in Sandton and play a key role in driving business improvement initiatives across finance, operations and trading environments. You’ll act as the bridge between business users and technology teams, translating operational challenges into practical solutions, optimising ERP platforms and helping shape the future of how the business operates. Whether it’s system enhancements, ERP upgrades, process automation, testing, training or transformation projects, you’ll be at the centre of it all. Key Responsibilities: Gather and document business and system requirements Analyse processes and identify improvement opportunities Drive process optimisation and automation initiatives Support and enhance ERP systems Participate in system upgrades, implementations and enhancements Manage SIT, UAT, defect tracking and solution testing Ensure business requirements are delivered effectively Liaise with stakeholders, users and software providers Deliver user training and ongoing system support Support project delivery, timelines and risk management. Assist with governance, audit and compliance requirements Improve reporting, system utilisation and operational efficiency Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst Strong ERP experience, preferably K8 (Kerridge) or Syspro Financial systems and reporting exposure Experience within manufacturing, wholesale, retail or distribution industries Experience in business process analysis, system design and implementation Understanding of project management principles and methodologies Exposure to automation, integration tools and data-driven solutions Experience with ERP upgrades, digital transformation or large-scale systems projects Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to challenge existing processes and influence change Comfortable operating across both technical and business environments If you’re the person who sees a manual process and immediately starts thinking, “there has to be a smarter way to do this,” then this might be the role where your ideas finally get the budget to become reality.
