Marketing Executive Join a fast-growing, internationally focused event marketing team Work Remotely from Cape Town (UK Hours) Area: Marketing | Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month About Our Client Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing international events company, specializing in promoting premier developer and investor conferences such as Rust, GopherCon UK, PHP UK, and the Investor Summit. With a focus on innovation and digital excellence, they deliver impactful event experiences globally. Working remotely from Cape Town, you’ll join a passionate team committed to creativity, excellence, and growth, while supporting some of the most recognized events in the tech industry. The Role: Marketing Executive We are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing Executive to join the team remotely in Cape Town, working UK business hours. Your primary responsibility will be executing marketing strategies across social media, advertising, content planning, and event promotion to drive engagement, ticket sales, and sponsorship opportunities. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow social media presence across Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube. Create and execute 12-month event marketing strategies and detailed 4-month content plans for flagship events. Design engaging graphics and craft compelling copy for scheduled posts using tools like Buffer. Actively monitor and respond to social media interactions within 24 hours on weekdays. Track and analyze social media metrics, using UTM parameters and analytics tools to optimize campaigns. Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google Ads. Research new promotional avenues such as blogs, podcasts, and influencer partnerships. Support sales and sponsorship teams by identifying potential sponsors and maintaining a CRM database. Collaborate with the design team to maintain and update brand guidelines on platforms like Figma or Canva. Report on success measures including engagement growth, event ticket sales, sponsorship revenue, and advertising ROI. About You 2 years of proven experience in digital marketing, event marketing, or social media management. Proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite, and social media scheduling platforms like Buffer. Strong copywriting skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail. Experience managing paid advertising campaigns across major platforms. Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation processes. Analytical mindset with the ability to report on marketing KPIs and adjust strategies based on performance. Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices. Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential). Experience in tech, developer-focused marketing, or events and sponsorships would be a distinct advantage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our experienced and strategic Head of Marketing, supporting content creation, social media, email marketing, campaign delivery, and more. What You’ll Be Doing: Content & Campaigns Create and schedule engaging content for our website, blog, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook Design on-brand visuals using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Help plan and deliver our marketing calendar with fresh, targeted ideas Email Marketing & Automation Assist in building, segmenting, and sending campaigns via CRM and Apollo Track performance metrics like opens, clicks, and conversions Report on results and suggest improvements Social Media Management Manage and schedule LinkedIn content and campaigns Engage with audiences, track responses, and help grow our community Monitor inbound leads and conversations Lead Management & Reporting Qualify and pass on leads to our recruitment consultants Maintain clean records of lead activity and results Support with monthly reporting and campaign performance analysis Research & Collaboration Keep an eye on competitor activity and industry trends Contribute ideas that help sharpen our marketing strategy Work closely with the Head of Marketing and wider team What Were Looking For: 2 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or content creation Confident with writing copy and designing visuals Skilled in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Experience using email marketing and CRM tools (e.g. Apollo, HubSpot, etc.) Highly organised with strong attention to detail Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude Bonus: Experience in lead generation or B2B campaigns
