Mirna Butler Recruitment is recruiting for a client in Melbourne seeking qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics to join a respected automotive team. This full-time, permanent opportunity is ideal for South African tradespeople looking to relocate and build a long-term career in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair petrol and diesel vehicles, including 4WDs and light commercial units
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning repairs
• Interpret vehicle schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Use job management systems such as AroFlo for SWMS, checklists, and timesheets
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with minimal rework
• Participate in on-call roadside assistance (one weekend per month)
• Maintain a safe, organised, and professional workspace
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Requirements:

• Red Seal Certified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic
• Minimum 10 years post-trade experience in diagnostics and repairs
• Broad automotive experience; Toyota and VW background advantageous
• Skilled in 4WD servicing, electrical systems, and air conditioning
• Valid drivers licence
• Vetassess Trade Skills Assessment preferred but not essential
• Willingness to relocate and commit to a long-term role in Australia

Remuneration and Benefits:

• Salary range: AUD $75,000 $85,000 per annum plus overtime
• Plus 12% superannuation (employer contribution to retirement fund)
