- Demonstrated experience in operational management roles.
- Extensive experience in agricultural, forestry, manufacturing, or industrial operations management
- Strong understanding of general production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in business development and stakeholder management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferred but not essential: Bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry related field, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations of the biochar production facility, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and product shipment coordination.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, suppliers, and stakeholders while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the region.
- Hire, supervise and develop the local team, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring high performance standards.
- Manage facility maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations.
