Job Title: Principal SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Functional Analyst Role Overview As the Principal SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Functional Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the design, configuration, and execution of SAP PPM solutions within our organization. You will lead end-to-end implementations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless integration between SAP and third-party applications. Your expertise will support effective portfolio and project management, enabling data-driven decision-making and streamlined operations. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of SAP PPM implementations, from requirement gathering and solution design to post-go-live support. Configure and maintain SAP PPM modules to align with business needs and strategic objectives. Analyse existing systems and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and develop optimized SAP solutions. Provide functional expertise during project execution, ensuring alignment with best practices and user requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and third-party vendors to ensure successful integration and delivery. Develop documentation, training materials, and support strategies for SAP PPM users. Act as a thought leader and mentor to junior SAP team members within the IS&T ESC Branch. Support change management activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications and Skills SAP PPM Certification (Mandatory) Minimum of 8 years of hands-on SAP experience , with a strong focus on PPM. Proven track record of 5 successful SAP implementations . Deep knowledge of SAP PPM system configuration, setup, and solution implementation . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions. Experience in SAP integration with third-party applications . Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in the public sector or local government environment is advantageous. Candidates residing in Cape Town are strongly preferred due to the nature of project engagement and collaboration requirements.
