Job Description

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • SecondaryEducation:Grade12.
    • TertiaryEducation:NQF6inProductionManagement/OperationsManagement.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum5yearsexperienceinaProductionManagerroleinthemanufacturingindustry.
  • Competencies:
    • Knowledge:
      • UnderstandingofPlasticManufacturing.
      • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities:
1.ProductionCoordination

  • Implementproductionschedulestomeetcustomerdemands.
  • Coordinateactivitieswithotherdepartments.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximise efficiency.
  • Monitorprocessesandworkflow,adjustingschedulesasnecessary.
  • Identifyareasforimprovementandcostreduction.
  • Conductrootcauseanalysisofproductionissuesandimplementcorrectiveactions.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimise waste.
  • Ensurecompliancewithindustrystandards,regulations,andsafetyprotocols.
  • Maintainaccurateproductionrecordsanddocumentation.

2.PersonnelManagement

  • Managesubordinatesinlinewithcompanypolicies,procedures,andindustryagreements.
  • Lead,motivate,train,andcontrolteammembers.
  • Ensurequalityproblemsarereportedimmediately.
  • Monitoranddirectworkflow.
  • Conductperformancereviewsandcounselemployeesasneeded.
  • Motivatetheteamtowardscontinuousimprovement.
  • Promoteworkplacesafety.
  • Passonpracticalskills(“Showanddo”).
  • Ensureteamperformancemeetsqualitystandards.
  • Communicate values and goals.
  • Proactivelyaddressmisconduct.
  • Conduct discipline and counselling within policy limits.

3.HealthandSafety

  • Ensureadherencetohealthandsafetystandardsandpractices.
  • Reportsafetyhazardsorissues.
  • Reportanyaccidents,incidents,andnearmisses.

4.Food(Product)Safety

  • Applysite-specificfoodsafetyprinciplesandstandards.
  • Reportfoodsafetyhazardsorissues.
  • MaintainallGMPs(GoodManufacturingPractices)relatedtotheFSMS(FoodSafetyManagementSystem).

5.Quality

  • Applycompanyqualityprinciplesandstandards.
  • MaintainGMPs.

6.ReportingandAdministration

  • Completeallreportsandadministrativetasksrelatedtotheposition.

7.General

  • Ensuretheteamknowswhattodoandwheretofindinformationinyourabsence.
  • Applycompanyprinciplesandstandards.
  • Be a role model in behaviour and work ethic.

8.Self-developmentandGrowth

  • Assess strengths and development areas and take actions to address weaknesses.

AdditionalDuties

  • Carry out any other tasks as management requires based on operational needs.

Salary:
R500 000 CTC
